Stick 'em

Missy once told me that she liked giving her kids wooden toys, because they were natural and she didn't want her kids to play with plastic (she apparently let go of this sentiment, since her kids haul around hand-held games now).

I thought about that for a while, and I kind of agree, to a point. I mean, they have yet to come up with a wooden magnadoodle, and nothing, I repeat, nothing is more awesome than a magnadoodle.

I woke Lily up from her nap, and scrounged around for something for her to play with. Typically, Lily likes two things: Me and Cheerios. Toys are only so-so.

So, I usually end up being creative to capture her imagination. I sat down at this very computer, opened the desk drawer and withdrew (drum roll please) a pad of post-it notes.

Awww....see how happy she is??

Paper is made of wood, therefore, she is, in fact, playing with a wooden block, if, let's just say, that wooden block was sliced into many very thin pieces.

This is, in fact, one post-it note and the back of the post-it note stack, all of which Lily managed to fit on the roof of her mouth all at the same time.

And for your further viewing pleasure...

videoI imagine that when it all comes out, that it will probably retain some of its previous properties...it will definitely still be sticky. And hopefully she won't get any paper cuts...eeya...

Ah yes, paper... probably the most harmless, but most irritating object for a child to chew on and eat. I don't know why I hate it when my kids do it.. oh yeah, because they've started doing it to pages from their BOOKS!!
NEVER, I repeat, NEVER desecrate a book!
