A Quest For Something More Than Clickity Clickity Click!

"WHY DO I FEEL LIKE MY LIFE HAS NO PURPOSE!?!??!" I yelled at myself in my head (which, oddly enough, has the same effect as actual yelling, and hurts the ears less) as I concluded my 4th hour of web surfing.

Jeremy came in just then, and stared pointedly at the bare dinner table.
"Uh...am I getting pizza?"
"YEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!"

We then went on vacation, which served to reboot my system. Hooray for Sunny California and Becky's guacamole!

Watching Becky and Victor cook so fantastically resparked my inner cook (who was busy playing ping pong by herself with a carton of eggs).

Eating mostly whole foods doesn't do much for the pallet day after day after day.... So while we were on one of our many shopping trips with the BeckTors, I picked up a bunch of recipe books. And Becky so nicely provided me with not one, but THREE cook books, the most awesome one being, no, not the Pampered Chef, but the Julia Child's cook book! I am so excited!

So today I went crazy and went shopping for healthy, yet exciting food for the next seven dinners!

Besides the whole cooking thing, I decided to go out on a limb and be very, very naughty....

and I got this:

The Calico. I named her Honey...heheheh...So far she has clawed my feet and piddled and pooed on my bathroom floor. But she sure is cute!

Joshua was so excited! He has spent a good chunk of the time carrying her around by her neck. Eva screamed and backed into a corner and exclaimed, "GET OUT, KITTY! GET OUT!" We'll have to work on that one...

Generally I am not one to break rules, but I figured, heck, we are moving out on Saturday, so if my landlord wants to freak out, he can do it on his own time. Besides, he's out of town. And if they ever tried to give me crap for it, I would know that they have been wandering around my apartment (as I am absolutely positive they do...We were in the shower two weeks ago and we heard the doorbell {at 9:30 PM} and Jeremy and I looked at each other, and after hemming and hawing for a few minutes, Jeremy streaked out and grabbed a towel just in time for him to catch our landlord's wife attempting to open our door...yeah, so much for his whole, "We will never come in to your apartment, unless we have talked to you first" which I guess really means, "We will never come in to your apartment, unless we just really feel like it."), and then I can sue them for trespassing.

Nice...I just went into the bathroom and Joshua just threw kitty litter every where. Bleh...

Well, at least I have food ready for dinner.

Cute little kitties. You are brave! Cats and I don't get along...
I'm glad you got rebooted and hopefully have energy and patience. We all need a little rebooting every once in awhile.
Like I said, landlords are STOOPID. Also, WE were in the shower? Nice.
