I was thinking yesterday, what it would be like if humans had pouches, like Kangaroos...Hmmm....What do you think?

Bad idea. When kangaroo mommies give birth, their babies are very tiny. The pouch is a kind of external womb, where they stay for a long long time. By the time you give birth in 9 months, I don't think you really want to have baby in a pouch 24/7. Ouch!

but it will be leathery and soft...and I wouldn't have to hold a baby...my arms would be free, and I could get so much done!

They make pouches for humans - you can carry your baby in front or on your back...

We humans have been doing this for quite some time. Native Americans used what is called a papoos...

I personally prefer the baby carrier - Victor.... :)

If you had ever seen the inside of a kangaroo pouch, I don't think you (as a neat-freak) would like it too much... baby kangaroos eat, sleep, excrete and who knows what else in there... do baby kangaroos spit up?
No... I think the man-made pouches are much better. :P
