True Love

"Jeremy," I said tonight, sulking a little. "I am a blabber mouth." "Yes, but you are my blabber mouth," he replied cheerfully.

I can always count on Jeremy to make me feel better. Like when he is half asleep and gives me slobbery, misplaced kisses on my eye.

I think True Love is knowing everything about a person, and loving them for their crazies anyway. And Jeremy definitely loves me in spite of, and maybe because of, my crazies.

I sometimes think that when God made me and Jeremy, He just used the same pattern, threw us out into the world, and watched as we found each other, as He knew we would. That's us: Salt and Pepper shakers. Raggedy Ann and Andy. Calvin and Hobbes. Mud and Worms.

Why do we feel safe at home? It's because that is where we are loved holistically..crazies and all.

If you guys are salt and pepper... Ben and I must be salt and paprika (he's just a little more "spice" than I bargained for)

But paprika doesn't taste like anything... :P LOL!

Ah, depends on what kind of paprika you get. My mother in law's husband recently used paprika on some vegetables and I almost couldn't eat them. Of course, my tolerance for spice is pretty low, but this was like biting into a pepper corn... or 10.
