Love Snugglies and Mazes

Eva just walked up to me, and gently, lovingly, gave me a cold, wet dish towel. She was very sincere about her gift, which she has been carrying around and sucking on. It was one of many of Eva's love snugglies (so much for all those soft blankies I got her...she is currently walking around with the wet dish towel around her neck. And toys too. I wish someone had told me not to buy toys for my kids since they prefer empty boxes and toilet paper rolls....) I can't get enough of my little fairy!

"Where is your bear?" I ask her. She thinks for a minute... "BAU!" she says, and wanders off. "Bau!" she exclaims as she comes back, dragging her bear behind her...isn't that cute?!

As Eva runs around the house exclaiming "Bau! HI! SIIII (this)" Joshua is going through a stack of mazes as tall as him (That's a-MAZING! Sorry, I couldn't help myself.). In an effort to preoccupy my preschooler, I gave him a book of mazes, and was surprised at how quickly he went through them...must be Jeremy's Mechanical Engineer brain seeping through... There was, of course, the necessity of tell him rules: "No, you can't cross the lines..." "No, you can't just draw a line from the start to the end..." Although, with that last one, I could have taught him that nice mathematical principle that "the shortest distance between two points is a straight line" but I figured it would be lost on my four-year-old.

I should start calling him "brain."

Wow, that is really cool about the mazes. I never would have thought that a 4 year old would like that.
