What to blog today...
I have this need to blog. I think it harmonizes my soul to throw out my innermost thoughts into the vast expanse of cyber space...
Which reminds me!
Dr. Seuss has a book, called "The Shape of Me and Other Stuff." In the book, it says some crazy stuff and then shockingly says

"And, speaking of shapes, now just suppose...!
Suppose YOU were shaped like these...
...Or those!
Or a garden hose!"
Shaped like a blogg...blog...
What is the shape of my blog? And is the shape of ME the same as my BLOG? I would say so...
I have found, at least in art, that the artist puts himself into his work. My best friend in high school, CJ, was a magnificent artist. She made a ceramic turtle in one of her art classes, and gave it to me for my birthday. I still have it! And every time I look at it, I look at her! It's kinda trippy.

So, I would assume, then, that a blog would be a self-portrait,
but an extremely complex one. A picture says a thousand words, they say, but if you have a picture AND a thousand words, what does THAT SAY?? I remember I drew a self-portrait once for school, and I went to my mom to ask her opinion. She laughed. I wasn't sure what that meant, and was mortified, when she said "It's just funny seeing your eyes on paper!"

I don't think an artist can help it. I drew this when I was a kid...let's not talk about the similarities...
I drew a whole slew of these. I did all the animals I could think of and used half a plastic egg to make the eyes.
I love reading other peoples' blogs because it is a peek into the soul. If you are like me, you are constantly comparing yourself to the world, but in blog world, it is impossible to feel as if there is an uneven balance. Everyone is so different, and it is a beautiful array of individual color that meshes into a magnificent landscape of personality!
Dr. Seuss was so great...
"Of all the shapes we MIGHT have been...
I say 'HOORAY for the shapes we're in!'"

Hmmmmm... sounds like nigglesbloodblog
Cute blog, Dara.
Dara: Your self-portrait is quite good. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it looks.
Mom: Hardly uptight... thoughtful and thought-provoking and humorous in all the right places.
@Dara: That is a pretty cool portrait. I don't know about the unicorn, though. I was a little too blocky.
@Dad: IMHO, cynics always sound more plausible than the cockeyed optimists of the world.

i think victor was a little freaked with the eyeballs on the unicorn... :)
"jodpgyzg" the name of my freaky, buggy-eyed unicorn. Or perhaps the sound of his giant eyeballs blinking when he runs.
