No telly secrets...

I am horrible at keeping secrets.

It's like carrying around a real, miniature dragon/unicorn/magical thing in my pocket, and it drives me CRAZY to not tell people about it.

The minute someone tells me, "Okay, now don't tell anybody..." I'm like, "WHOA, this is gonna be good! Who can I tell??"

Now before you think I am untrustworthy (which is still open for debate amongst yourselves), I typically only tell Jeremy because, he is, after all, my husband. If you secret is social circle based, I use your secrets as an analogy for life lessons to people you don't know and will never meet.

So, it's safe to say, you probably don't feel very confident in my secret-keeping abilities, but I will do my best to keep your secret safe if I can.

Anyway, this blog isn't about your secrets. It's about mine.

As hard as it is to keep other people's secrets, it's even harder to keep my own.

What can I say? I'm an open book that's following people around, tugging at their pants so I can be read.

So, do you want to know my secret?

I bet you do.

So, my inner debate now is do I keep my secret, and exert some self control, or do I just blurt it out because I have the impulse to do so?

I vote blurt:

I'm pregnant.

Whew.

Okay, yeah, I can't keep a secret if my life depended on it.

And I guess I felt like I owed you guys some sort of explanation for what will mostly likely become intermittent blogging, or if I manage to keep my strings of complaints in full force, why I feel groedie.

I suppose I should have waited until I was further along, just in case, but honestly, I would probably explode if I didn't tell you guys.

And, Mom? I wanted to tell you the last time I was there, but with all my kids being a bunch of crazies, what with Lily attacking Gigi, and Eden decorating your floor with cracker crumbs, I didn't think you would be excited for another baby at that point in time. So, with all my chaos safely here, I thought this would be a great way, because now you can be excited all by yourself, and the idea of another baby will seem awesome! Well, in theory anyway.

I also wanted to tell you all, because I was dying to tell someone that I impulse bought a giant box of macaroni and cheese from Costco today because my embryo told me to. I impulse bought peaches, too, but that was because Josh told me to. It reminded me of when Mom would go out of town and I would go shopping with Dad. We would walk up and down the aisles and I would ask about everything I passed by and Dad would just shrug and give his consent, either because he was too tired to say no, or because deep down he really wanted those chocolate chip cookies, chips and burritos, too. I can see Josh getting his way a lot in the next few months, until my body has adjusted. Besides, all his jumping up and down and cheering was too fun.

Yay that's a fun secret!!! I need more details! Like, due date, was it planned, do you want a big family- basically, are there lots more secrets in the future? Are you rooting for a boy or girl? Cause after all, if you're telling secrets, I want more juice! Hope you are feeling good!
