Everybody Hurts Sometimes

....and now you will have that song stuck in your head all day long. High five to me.

I was sitting at the pool this morning, trying to keep the double stroller from rolling away.

No, I wasn't on a hill.

Lily was having a monster tantrum (she wanted an umbrella, or my phone, or maybe the squashed yellow M&M on the ground, I'm not sure), and despite the locked brakes on the dumb thing, she was managing to push the stroller backwards with all her thrashing and wild gyrations, and in the process was upsetting my usually calm, super-happy-it's-almost-ridiculous Eden.

Eden complained a little about the commotion, and then turned and looked at me, scrunching her face and opening her mouth, pulling it wide and giggled as I looked down on her.

Yeah, that's my girl.

Don't let the Lily tantrum get you down.

Lily finally settled down and Eden turned towards her and began smacking her on the head.

Turn about, you know.

Anyway, as I looked at my little lady, I noticed that Eden had some white-ish bumps on her gums next to her two, lonely bottom teeth. I stuck my finger in her mouth (stupid, but I can't help myself....there's something magnetic and hypnotizing about sticking your finger in a baby's mouth...or in anything for that matter...well..at least for me anyway), and she got this look of "What the...hey! wait...yeah...*biiiiittteeeee*" and I discovered that Eden, by some sort of magical Christmas miracle, had managed to produce not one but FOUR teeth without so much as a whimper.

Wow. She's going to be one of those women who gives birth to 12 pound babies and then goes back outside and finishes harvesting the pumpkins and turnips she was dealing with when labor set in.

She's going to be awesome.

Mark my words.

That's incredible. Not a fuss? Can I have her?
