Let them eat...and eat...and eat...

Bob Harper is a genius.

He has seriously made me hate food.

And that's something astounding for a person addicted to food.

In his diet plan, he has you eat five meals a day and ten glasses of water.

The water I can get around. It's seriously made my skin look A M A Z I N G. The food however....

Now, don't get me wrong. He doesn't have you eat weird mash-ups of odd foods (although he has this thing for hummus which, honestly, gives me the jibblies). He's having you eat normal things. It's just that you are eating every twenty minutes, it seems.

For example:

I'm sitting at my desk, doing something productive that has nothing to do with bubble shooter games or Pinterest, and I look down at the clock on my desk top, and I realize I have to eat something. Again.

Sheesh, didn't I just eat breakfast?

So, I whip out some cheese and some sort of fruit.

A short while later, I'm still sitting at the desk, and whoa, two hours have passed, time to eat something. Again.

Really? Ugh....

And I slump over to the fridge to look for something to shove into my face.

I go do something that resembles laundry, and look at the clock as I pass through the kitchen.

What the...? AGAIN!?

And I look for something to eat....

By the end of the day you are so sick of eating things, you just don't care any more.

It's a beautiful thing.

Food has (mostly) become what it's supposed to be: A tool.

I was actually able to stand at the kitchen counter yesterday and unwrap 40 mini reese's peanut butter cups for a cake I'm making and not even be tempted to eat one (and, no, the cake isn't for me...I'm making one of those NEXT week!).

So, thank you, Bob, for ending my affair with food.

It's better this way....

P.S. Bob's most helpful tip EVER was to add protein to every meal. It's awesome! You should try it!
