Lily-Loo
I snuck into Lily's room last night to check on her. She had obviously lost the fight with her blanket. That afghan can be feisty.
For how angelic she looked I assumed the smell coming from her bed was the rat that must have crawled in there and died after she fell asleep. Jeremy came up and whispered tenderly into my ear,
"Sniff her bottom..."
I love it when he speaks to me like that. Rrrarrr...
I picked up my large, sleeping bag of flour and she struggled to open her eyes. Before she even had cracked them open, she pointed her finger at an empty space on the floor and said, "Cahht" (she now has three words: Hi, Hello, and Cat. Not too shabby for a 14-month-old).
Must have been a good dream, or maybe it was a request (she apparently thought it good fun the other day when the cat decided to take a nap in her bed with her...the cat didn't think so, though, judging by the put-upon look on her face when I finally went in there wondering why Lily was giggling and Pepper was producing muffled meows from somewhere).
Silly Lily...
I always forget how old she is, since she is so small (my own little lilliputian). Her sense of humor is awesome, and she is such a tease! It's fun watching her brain work. She sat at the table last night and pulled Jeremy's empty plate towards herself and took the bread out of her bowl, tore it in half, and then put half onto Jeremy's plate. I don't know if she was sharing, or if she was just trying to get out of eating the bread. Either way, I enjoyed watching her.
Oh, my Lily-loo! Life wouldn't be the same without you!
