Cars = Stupid, impossible, expensive, smelly contraptions

I have long taken Mom's opinion of cars: They are to get from point A to point B, and it doesn't matter what they look like, they just have to go (and I strongly stress the GO part...).

We have three cars (count them,THREE): Mustang, Blazer, Passat. Henceforth to be called the Mublasat.

And my Mublasat is B R O K E N. Needless to say, they do not fulfill the Mom requisites.

The Mustang (Jeremy's mistress) is engineless in our garage. Dead-dead-deadski.

The Blazer (my Go-Kart) is gutted on that very same garage's floor with some internal leaking issues. Like an automotive sinus infection...or perhaps internal bleeding...

The Passat (which was having problems anyway) is lying maimed on the driveway where I left it last night after viciously shredding its front tire on that frickin'-frackin' ledge that shouldn't be there anyway.

My plans for going to buy frozen peas were torn apart by the loud hissing noise I was hearing after the bumpity bump over said ledge.

The irony is that I was reading in Romans 5 yesterday, which said this (at the time I nodded sagely to myself and had warm fuzzies):

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
And patience, experience; and experience, hope: "

It is true, but at times it is a bitter medicine to choke down...

You see...

Jeremy offered to pull the car out for me (equal parts of gentleman and a man who knows my tendency for driving over curbs, I am sure). But I said no.

Sigh...

But it was even sadder since Jeremy didn't have the part to remove the afflicted tire. And they are discontinued, apparently, so the dealer has felt the need to charge $25 for it.

So, my tribulation worked patience, and experience, and hope...

And it also caused Jeremy to get off of work early (yay!) to fix our mangled vehicles (booo!). A BIG THANK YOU to Emily and Ben for always coming to our rescue!!!

So...anyway...

I hate cars.
