Highlights
Okay, so I am going to do a brief blog about our trip! No worries...I am not going to give you whole experience.
*I sat in wonder as my little Lily rolled onto her back, then on to her belly, then on to her back, and back to her belly. My little lady is growing up!
*Sleeping with toddlers is a hazard. Eva was intermittently smacking and kicking me, and at one point yelled out in her sleep, "NO! It's MY cookie!"
*Listening to Joshua sing the theme song from Word Girl is hilarious! "Flying at the speed of sound! Vocabulary that astounds! From the planet Lexicon! Watch out villains, here she comes!"
*We lost Jeremy's shoes at Leo Carillo beach (Which Jeremy insisted on calling "Leo Car-ILL-o"). The tide pools ROCKED! Hooray for half-eaten crabs!
*I never ever, ever, ever, everevereverever want to be near an opossum again. Becky, you need to take that thing out of its cage and reintroduce it to its native habitat. I will never do laundry again without smelling rodent piddle.
*Besides his musical ability, Joshua had a knack for making me laugh by flexing his body after he had been sitting for 4 hours and exclaiming, "MY BOTTOM HURTS!!!!!!"
*Eva spent every second in the car either in cobbler's pose (which is the soles of the feet pressed together) or with her foot on the window. A girl after my own heart!
*Josh is a klepto, and ever night we had to empty his pockets. The best night was when we found about 100 bee bees, some pennies, and a ring. Eva followed suit by putting unripened figs in her dress pocket, and a half-eaten banana in her back pack. Yummy...

*Josh is the only one who could consistently get Lily to laugh.
*We decided to get a bigger car. We originally wanted to do it for Eva and Lily's sake, but after watching Josh get bitten, scratched, punched, and virtually maimed by his two little sisters, we are doing it for his.
*Best time?? Looking Jeremy in the eye and asking, "How fast can you run?" when we were considering running through Becky's backyard that was being guarded by a massive hell hound, known as Sparky.
Thanks to Becky and Victor, the consummate hosts! I will never eat another brownie again...

Memories, light the corners of my mind
Misty watercolor memories of the way we were.
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind
smiles we give to one another
for the way we were.

Sounds like a fun vacation! You always make me laugh with your posts. Thanks!!~
How about all the yummy food that we force fed to you... :)
Very funny blog! I guess Sparky has a new nickname. I will have to tell Victor that we are calling him "double HH". You can never have too many names :)
