I'm gonna get me an edjimikashun!

I was standing in the middle of the Orem Institute of Religion, discussing my future with my fellow janitors. I made it clear that nothing was going to stop me from getting my doctorate (Although, I am a trifle sad that if I do, I will never be Dr. Hyde....sigh...I guess there can only be one of those).

One of my co-workers looked at me and said, "You are never going to get it." Before I could make a decision between making a mere verbal objection and popping him one, my best friend, Tia, came to my defense.

"Oh, yes she will!"

My first vote of confidence had been cast. Awesome....

After slorping through the endless wasteland that was my undergraduate degree, I was ready to make Doubting Thomas' (well, his name was Darren...Doubting Darren...that has a nice ring) words come true.

Three babies later, my mind has returned to the idea of schooling my brain some more. And I have the perfect setup. California State University Master of Humanities independent study! Nothing beats independent study. I can study on my own time (which I have lots of that I waste shamefully on a daily basis)! I don't have the take the GRE (Oh horrors!), and I can take up to five years to complete it. I just have to write a 1000 word essay explaining why I want to go through the program, and what/who inspired me (plus the joy of sending my transcripts and filling out an application...I am having rejection anxiety...).

I am so excited! Heeheeheee!
