Amok!
Every year, I try and follow the anniversary "theme." Our first year was paper, and I made Jeremy bookmarks (why I thought he needed 10 bookmarks I will never know.). Last year was easy, and I just got Jeremy an M&M container full of personalized candies. Oh yeah, that was awesome!
Some years have been more difficult than others. The Wood Anniversary saw me chiseling a wood landscape for Jeremy which turned out pretty well. It was half way through the project that I realized the pattern was designed for a machine, not chisels. Oh well...
Well, this year is yet again an interesting element, or uh, metal...Copper, my friends...I suppose I could give Jeremy a jar of pennies and call it good, but no, I have to do things the hard way...
Let's just say that the project so far isn't turning out quite like I had hoped, and so far has been marred, scratched, and then splattered on by yours truly. I am starting to rethink my handmade gift approach. Bleh...
*SIGH*
Jeremy is always gracious, though. And as the years pass by, I would like to think that the small tokens of love I produce for him will have deeper meaning and, if nothing else, sentimental value.
