Ghostie

My Eva has a ghostie

She sleeps with every night

But unlike other ghosties

this one's not very white.

The ghostie goes with Eva

where ever she will roam.

In the car, or in the house,

Her ghostie is at home.

The ghostie is a little brown

from dining at the table.

I'd like to throw it in the wash

to see if being clean is able.

"Chocolate milk?" my daughter asked

when looking at the slop.

"Yes," I replied and took the ghost.

"We'll clean the specter up!"

"No," said little Eva,

chirping like an organ pipe.

"No," she said, again to me,

"Clean up with a wet wipe!"

Sounds like a book we like to read to Owen, called "Owen" (I bet you can guess why we got it). Anyway, maybe it would help. I don't remember the author, but basically Owen is a mouse who carries a yellow blanket around and his parents try to get him to stop. It's a fun little book.

it sounds like Eva is a lot like her momma who had a yellow blanket - there was blood curdling screams whenever the yellow blanket was thrown into the washer :)

Cute. Does she remember where Ghostie came from?

You know, I haven't asked her, Mom. I probably should remind her. :)
I eventually convinced her that Ghostie needed a bath, and it went through the wash. :P

My kids don't really have anything that they NEED to sleep with. Well, I suppose Audrey has her thumb... not like you have to put that in the washing machine though.
Angela has a dog and a blanket like that. It is very hard to get her to let me wash them.
