What is really scary to me is that I've heard that song before. . . I think Dad played this for us when we were kids. . . Yikes.

Tom Paxman wrote the lyrics and music. Peter, Paul and Mary also sang the song as did The Chad Mitchell Trio (in addition to John Denver). What I can't understand is - -WHY????

blech. I don't think it was ever a chart topper.

A little bit of the bizarre will always get my vote... it was a tiny bit disturbing though, like that toy was suddenly going to turn into a death ray.
The little winged puppy was cute though. What I don't get is why, when he grew up, his little kid didn't have wings... ???
