Uh-oh...:(

Today, Eva had an appointment with her pediatrician, and so, we loaded up and rushed off to get her analyzed. (I have a really hard time with all those charts and statistics...My baby isn't a statistic...unless she is better than everyone else. )

So, the nurse came in and poked and prodded.

Then the 4th year resident came in and poked and prodded. (Eva was quite smitten, she kept giving him googly eyes.)

Then the doctor came in and poked and prodded (This last time really upset Eva, and she started to cry. It didn't seem to affect the doctor at all...it must happen a lot.)

Then came the bad part...
After sitting in the office forEVER, a nurse-type person wandered in, holding a tray like it was an hors d'oeuvre platter, only these appetizers weren't going to make ANYBODY happy.

After the obligatory you-seem-like-a-nice-person look, followed by the hey-what-is-that-shiney-thing look, and the ultimate what-the..!-AAAAAAARRRRGHHHH!! noise, I tried to console my mortally wounded little girl. She was very upset, and rightly so.
As I waited for the nurse to hand me Eva's vaccination record, Eva was still crying, and inbetween sobs she said, "Uh-oh...Uh-oh..." It just melted my heart! That's right...Uh-oh... :(

Poor baby... Audrey shouldn't need more shots until she's 2, thank heaven..

Getting vaccinations for your babies is one of those difficult parts of parenthood I never liked. They don't really understand that the shots are going to help them later on. All they understand is that it hurts. That reaction was cute though.
