"Bippo MOOOO!"
I bought Joshua and Eva a truck from Wal-Mart that has four little animals inside. The idea is if you put them in their right spots the truck will make cool noises and drive really fast by itself. Sadly, Joshua crunched one of the sensors in about 3 seconds, so the car just sits. But Eva loves it still, especially the little animals.
Oh well...
So, there is a lion, and a bear ("Baou!"), a monkey, and a hippo ("BIPPO!"). The hippo is Eva's favorite.
In their room they are guarded night and day by a menagerie of stuffed animals, and among those is a certain purple cow.
Allow me to wax poetic:
I never saw a purple cow,
I never hope to see one;
But I can tell you anyhow,
I'd rather see than be one.

Anywho, I have been trying to be a good mommy and teach Eva animal sounds. So, now she grabs her cow and says "MOOOO!" Ah, the pride wells up...
Anyway, the hippo that goes with the truck is blue (are hippos blue? and what about the orange monkey? Hmmm..okay, perhaps there are orange monkeys..hey, looks kinda like Josh...) and I think Eva is slightly confused (due to the similarity to her purple cow) because today she picked up her hippo, looked at me and said, "BIPPO! MOOOOO!" then kissed it.
In her defense, the hippo looks more like a cow than anything else. I really don't know why they called it a hippopotamus (which means water horse). They should have called it a bovipotamus, or a heiferpotimus.

Allisa learned the sign for chicken and would make the sound at the same time: "b'cock!!!"
Very funny.
For a very long time she would sign the animal and make the sound effects at the same time. She was clearly multi-lingual.
"kerec" - mad chicken sound
